This feature film from Myanmar was a national phenomenon when it premiere in 2019. It broke the country's old studio system by relying on independent funding and used a naturalistic storyline and acting style typically not seen in Burmese films. Audiences lined up outside theaters and praised this film as the new wave of Burmese cinema.
In 2025, after a hiatus because of their country's war, the film is scheduled for an international theatrical release. BST secured the Thailand distribution rights, as well as contributed re-editing and DCP services for theatrical distribution globally.
